Hahaha, I'm also guilty of trying to mimic the similar settings in Forza Motorsport 2

Forza 2 isn't totally accurate in all aspects, but when I lowered the rear springrate way down, I didn't lose the rear that often. Also, there's a numerical value you can assign to the shocks for rebound and bump which I wouldn't know how to set similar to my Koni settings.

lol, I've done this...
Ill post my exact specs later, but I ran something like 6:40 with 490ish hp/and racing soft tires all the rest of the bolt ons etc. I tried it for fun once and was like "holy crap it actually handles really good!"

I was able to replicate my exact settings. From the weight (2980), to the hp, to the aftermarket parts. Even the downforce of my rear wing (150lbs). Only thing I can't do are the front tires in a 315.

But, the car handles pretty nicely. It's a bit tighter than my car, but not too noticeably.

PS2. GT4 is a great game. I'm a big fan of playing with settings to drag race quicker in Vegas, haha. The whole point of that game to me is to make more money so I can buy a stock car and test it in the quarter mile after every mod and adjustment so I can see how they pick up. The 0-1000 is also a great test of how the car improves.

I know it's not actually the point of a "gran turismo" game, but I think it would be awesome if they added a drag racing aspect to the game, especially if you could race head to head with other players. There are NO drag racing games that are that realistic, nevermind ones that have that many street cars available to mod, haha.

Allright then, her is my "general" settings (4th gen SS) for GT4.
Works great on almost every track with racing medium tires. Right now I´m trying racing hard, works to. Notice that I got a wing for aerodynamics, front 18 rear 30, works great without but like this it gets mor planted. Standard diff, LSD 1(2), 0 on compensation for over/understeer. As I said, this is my general setting, I got A, B, C settings depending on tracks. For the ring I turn down the spring and damper values, just a bit.

Spring:
Front 16,9 Back 11,2

Hight:
Front 81, Back 81

Damper:
Bounce Front 8, Back 5
Rebound Front 9, Back 5

Camber:
Front 2.2, Back 1.1

Swaybars:
Front 7, Back 5

Alright here are my settings for the n-ring with the SS:
My best lap was 6:43, and I think I can break into the 6:30s with a little suspension tweaking.

497hp/506ft.lbs torque (N/A)
full weight reduction & cage
racing soft tires F/R
Transmission ratios set at "auto level 12" with 6th a little bigger for the top end on the last strait. I shift myself.
No wing (I know it would help but I cannot stand how it looks)
No driving Aids.

LSD:
Initial: 10
Accel: 25
Decel: 10

Suspension:
....................Front..............Rear
SpringRate:.....10.0...............4.5
Height:...........90.................110
Shock(bound)...4....................3
Shock(rebound) 9...................5
Camber............1.8................0.8
Toe.................0...................0
Swaybars.........6...................5

Allright!
I have tried your settings, there was a few things with them that made me reconsider mine. For one, I belive I had way to stiff spring settings, I changed that and made a couple of other changes too. Feel free to try them out, If you aske me this is a bad *** car right now! I just pulld 6,39 on the ring, what a rush. Note, this is my "high end" setting. I use 3 different settings depending on witch track I´m running. The other ones are basical the same but "turnd down" a little.

Her we go:

Spring
Front: 16
Rear: 12,5

Hight
Front: 85
Back: 85

Damper
Bounce: Front 5, Back 4
Rebound: Front 9, Back 7

Camber
Front: 2,5 Back 1,5

Toe
Front: 1, Back 0

Swaybars
Front: 7, Back 6

I have a wing on (yes it´s uggly but you can allways remove it ) and I use 18 in front and 30 back. I run on racing soft but the car will run good with all sorts. For gear I use 3.420 as final and 10 at auto settings, with gear 5 and 6 stretcht out.

It's funny that you can adjust rear camber. Not that it's impossible, but would take a lot more work than I'd ever want to mess with in real life

And how would you do this with a solid rear like our cars have?
