That is not a fair assessment. What are the goals of the car in question?? The Competition Engineering shocks are very good for drag racing. If you are an autocrosser/roadracer, then not so much and you should get Konis.

Ya Im not going to lie i know nothing about them. I just get tired of the "Are these shocks any good" threads and decided to post what the majority of these threads end with: BUY KONI SAs

For drag racing these shocks may be great. Good luck if you pick them up.

If you go to the track that little, and the car is primarily street, NO, those shocks are NOT appropriate for your needs. They'll handle poorly to dangerously on the street in exchange for a .050 to .100 better launch at the track.

IMHO, stay stock, or consider an adjustable shock designed primarily for handling... like the Koni SA.

FWIW... most guys with the minimal mods you have launch just fine at the track on stock suspension. My suggestion is to learn to drive what you have until you are dead consistent and see no more reduction in 60 foot times before you worry about buying parts. Your car will never again be as consistent as it is unmodded, and that's what matters in brackets.

For what you are wanting to do I would just stay with a good stock type replacement shock. The competition engineering shocks would be fine for track but would do poorly on the street under normal driving conditions.

they are very harsh on the street...i have run them at all three settings 30/70 chattering your teeth over road imperfections, 50/50 being ruff but tolerable
