Default Identifying 3 Vs. 4 channel ABS

I have a 1999 SS. Does this have a 3 or 4 channel ABS?

Based on the year I would say 3-channel but a good indicator is if you have traction control. If you have traction control you have 4-channel ABS. Another way to tell is just by visual looking for the sensor on the centersection it is pretty easy to spot. If you have the sensor it's 3-channel if not it's 4-channel. If you have any other questions you can give me a call here at the office and I will see if I can help.

Whether or not you have traction control is the easiest way to tell...traction control = 4 channel...otherwise, it is a 3 channel.

There are a whole host of other ways to tell, but I'm pretty sure you'll already have your answer.

traction control button on the dash=4 channel. wire harness connectors at the rearend brake backing plates = 4channel. sensor/wire harness connector on top of gear area on housing=3channel.
