If you're not extreme why do you need 6 piston setup? You can get a good C5 setup pretty cheap and work well for autocross events. Even with LS1 brakes would be an good upgrade for you.

I think he meant he doesn't need a 6 piston setup after reading that a few times, but i may be wrong. If your gonna upgrade the brakes on a budget, get some stock vette rotors and calipers and some UMI C5 brackets. Should be enough for ya unless you're saying you do need 6 pistons... in which case you could pickup the wilwood kit. I think thats the cheapest 6 piston on the market for our cars.

You have to modify the front spindles a very small amount, but other than that they are a bolt on. Also check out LG motorsports. They have an adapter brakcet for the c5 brakes.

If you want a cheap upgrade that will make you brakes work very well and be reliable then that can be covered by using stock calipers, good blank rotors, a full ATE brake fluid flush, good brake pads HPS or better, replacement of the shims, clips, rubber boots for pins (Autozone brake hardware kit 20 bucks), and clean/regrease caliper guide pins.

From what I've heard, the C5 brake setup works very well. Though I think more of the benefit comes from the increased heat aborbing ability, and it is quite a bit heavier than stock brakes. It looks badass too. I use the above though with the stock brakes in my autox/speedway setup
