Brake line swap, couple questions
I'm doing a bunch of work on the Z this weekend (2000 Z28), but the biggest concern I have is with the brake line swap. I got a set of Earl's LS1 braided brake lines to put on (and the solo-bleed screws). What I am assuming is this:
1. Will end up draining entire system of brake fluid.
2. Will have to refill brake fluid - lots of bleeding to be done?
3. Will need a large catch pan to prevent brake fluid from being all over garage floor (which I do have). Where is the best place to put the catch pan?
Is that about right? I've worked on brakes before, so that doesn't bother me, but I haven't done the lines before....am I in for a treat? Any tips would be good. Thanks!

I don't get too much fluid coming out of the solid lines when I change mine. The whole thing definitely won't empty out. But you will get drips. I just removed mine, and put new ones on.
That being said, I'd recommend something to cap off the solid line if possible. I just swapped out a line this weekend without capping the line off, and now I'm chasing a bubble out of the system somewhere (hopefully it's not something else). I have a softer brake pedal than before. It's not dangerous, just softer than what I'm used to. I can still engage ABS, but its close to the bottom of pedal travel.
At least it's not leaking anymore, which I like

What would you recommend for capping the solid lines? That would be helpful as I want to remove the caliper and rotor while doing the struts/shocks instead of resting or hanging them on something.....
