Default C6 Z06 brake questions

What do I need to do this conversion?
I know I need the brackets, rotors, calipers, and pads. But if I want to use steel braided brake hoses, do I use the steel braided brake hose for a 2002 trans am or do I use the steel braided brake hose for C6 Z06? Will 18x9.5 C5 Z06 Replica wheels fit over it, or do I need spacers? And will these wheels fit over it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=006
What are the options I have for wheels?

I have the money saved up, it seems like that all the cars that have done the conversion used c6 zo6 wheels.

I have ccw 505a wheels and had to use a spacer to get enough clearance for the calipers. C6 ZO6 wheels seem to be the only wheels that work correctly.

The regular C6 style rim should work as well. Here are my 19's with the LS1 brakes:

Have you considered the 4 piston brembo calipers? They bolt on as well and the 2 calipers, pads and rotors are only $500.

Which 4-piston brembo calipers? Which car do they come on?

Caddy CTS-V. Maybe $540 with tax. There are a couple of threads on them. Check it out.

Have you measured to see if they'll work? The zo6 calipers are MUCH wider than the ls1 brakes. From the looks of it they will probably work but it's hard to say. Kore3 has the measurements you'll need to check on their site.

The 4 pistons stick out 1.2" more than the stock calipers. It's actually less, but the rotor itself moves out a little as well, so 1.2" would be correct.
If you look at the pic I posted, there is way more room than that. I can fit 3 fingers in there. If you want a actual number, I can get it tomorrow. My rims are 19x10. Now if your considering a much narrower rim like the 8.5, there may be less clearance. Manufacturers just don't give spoke clearance measurements.

Just add dotcom. They are not a sponsor so we can't post a link.
