Meaning that it isnt sending the correct information (speed) to the EBCM and thats what is throwing your traction control off. Does your abs inop light come on at all?

Yea - The computer uses the wheel speed sensors to compare the behavior of the four wheels to and determine that one or more is slipping. So, I would think your problem sounds like wheels either are slipping or the computer thinks a slip is happening.

Also, when the lights come on, can you tell that the traction control or anti-lock brakes are kicking in?

well no issues whatsoever, but I hate to drive the car with all these lights in front of me so I need to get rid of them

Get the car scanned for codes. Hopefully there will be a codes there that indicate the malfunction.
