Default Trying to decide on a strano sway bar or springs after i buy konis

After graduation im gonna be getting Koni SA Shocks. Then Im either gonna get stano's front sway bar or his springs to go with them. What do you guys think would be a better handling improvement? I drag race but i might be doing some autox this summer.

Also does anyone know the availability of his springs and konis, id probably be ordering them in 2 weeks, and since ill be going to college without my car i dont wanna wait all summer for them.

thanks in advance

I would get the springs. Way better then stock. but the sway bar is way better then stock also so its a tough call.

yeah it is, seems like springs would do more since it lowers the center of gracivty and their stiffer, but i saw in one thread to get sway bars first. and ive done the heater hose mod, so i guess i can do the lower perch on the konis and lower it a little more for free.

I would call Sam and ask him. The way he told me was to do springs/koni's THEN do bars. He said to drive the car and see how I liked it. Then if I wanted more to go with the bars. He said not to do everything at once because I might not want/need it.

His spring rates are better than stock. He made them that way for a reason.

I'd say springs, but thats just my .02

I would say swaybars. I have both. Sways made the more favorable improvement with no negative effects.

Did you do both? Sways with stock springs then with Strano springs?

I don't think it is possible to make a comparison between the two.

I would think springs would have an overall benefit compared to the sway bars.

I don't know. This is purely speculation on my part.

I say get the strano springs you have to take the front apart anyway to change the struts, why not change the springs while your at it! later when you save up a few more bucks get the sway bars and just swap them out. Then you will have the best setup out there!

I personally wouldn't do just the front bar....get the springs now, and wait until you can get both bars.

I did the bars first. Definitely get the front and rear together or it won't feel balanced.

Alright im gonna be getting koni 4/3 and strano springs, do you think i should get the handling package 1 that includes the adjustable panhard bar for 70 bucks more? Will this make a big difference, im guessing i would launch straighter?

i just emailed sam strano but realized he was out of town until the 10th, and im trying to order these sunday.

Sam will not recommend you putting the Koni's on the lower perch especially with his springs. I think his springs lower our cars just right, not too low and not high.

Definitely get the adj. panhard bar. When you lower the car the rear end becomes un-centered if you use the stock panhard bar. (driver side tire will stick out more and the passenger tire will tuck in more and possibly rub in the inner fender.

Basically I am repeating but, Sam doesn't recommend using the lower perch.

I would say go ahead and get the APHB. I didn't when I did mine and I should have. I ordered mine a few days ago. I don't really think the car will launch any different.

Not only does the APHB let you center the rear it also tightens up the rear of the car. When going into a corner the rear won't move as much.

If you do the springs you will not have to pull the front end apart again. Bars are easy to install.
