Default Suspension noises.

I have this odd noise when i launch the car from a slow roll or from a stop, at first i thought it was the rear end, but today when i got out of the car it made the same noise as when i launch it.

so i opened up the door and rocked the car back and forth and it made the exact same noise as when i launch the car again.

so i have narrowed it down to the rear end. what could possiby be making this noise?

loose shock, panhard arm, torque arm, dry bushings?

this is only in the rear just to clarify.

Did you rock the car forward/backwards or side to side?

hmmm... you are really going to need to look up under there. It could be anything from a torn bushing with metal to metal contact to the upper PHB support bolts coming loose (happened to me).

wouldnt surprise me, the car is almost 9 years old. ill definitely check that out when i get a chance. i was already looking at those bushing, they are about 40 bucks so i can get them if that is the case.

any other things that could cause this?

Might want to check the bolts & bushings on the lower shock mounts. I've seen PHB's touch the differential covers, exhaust tubing hit the underside of the car. Check the front of the differential to see if you have any play in the driveshaft, loose upper PHB brace, loose bolts on the control arms and the sway bar end links.

Good luck and post your findings!
