Thanks for the interest in our product.
When we designed our 3-point SFC's clearance was very critical to us. We used round tubing because it allows more bending options for a tighter cleaner fit. If you take a look at the pictures below you will see we have bent and formed our tubing to follow the contours of the vehicle floor. This allows a much tighter fit for the best possible ground clearance.
Our SFC's are also available in a high gloss Red or Black powder coat for no additional charge... custom colors are available for $20.00 extra. They can be purchased as weld in or bolt in. The bolt in version is 100% bolt in and requires no welding, grinding, cutting or drilling and can be installed in 45 minutes with basic hand tools.
If you have any additional questions please ask and I am glad to help. Thank you! Ryan

When I was in the market for a 3-point subframe connector, UMI didn't offer one, so I went with the SLP pieces (bolt-ins that I had welded in place). Compared to the picture above, the SLPs hang LOW. They are really big, and I don't remember them being too awfully light when I installed them.
If I had it to do over again with the options now available, I'd have the UMI subframe connectors on my car.

Hey I'm looking into getting some SFC's since I just did my T Top conversion and have a few questions.
- Is there any loss of ground clearance with these?
- Is there a HUGE strength gain going with chrome moly? My car's only a V6 and I have not intentions of upping the HP any. It's just a daily driver. So I'm wondering if I'll really have a need for the extra strength.

I have the SLPs and will soon be cutting them off and buying the UMI tubulars. I really dont like the fittment of the SLPs, they are huge and hang low and take up alot of room under the car. On top of that they are more expensive than the UMIs and what do you get? You get mild steel bulky boxes that you need to paint after install to keep them from rusting. Compare that to UMIs powdercoating, better fitting, better looking, and more clearence. UMI all the way!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, we appreciate the support
Lotus289- There is no ground clearance lose with these SFC's, they tuck up very tight to the vehicle floor. Strength is not a issue either, the Chrome Moly set is built for the weight savings rather then additional strength. If you are not worried about 5lbs just stick with the mild steel version.
If you have any additional questions please ask. Thank you!

Are you mocking me? j/k. I figured as much, but $300 is a good chunk of change for me and I wanna make sure they'll work. Hopefully I can get these ordered sometime this summer. Thanx!
