A Chevy/Pontiac dealer, or one of the "genuine GM parts" houses on the net....

I know you said you wanted to keep them the same, but the DeCarbons will probably cost more than a quality Bilstein replacement. Bilsteins are about $100 per shock. I don't know the price for DeCarbons, but I know that the stock replacement shocks on my daily driver (Saturn Ion) are $115 apiece.

Bilsteins are currently on national backorder (or at least they were last I heard).

I remembered there was a company that had "take offs" from new cars. I guess this is the place:

When it comes to WS6, I'm confused as to whether they were the same shocks as non-WS6 cars. If they were different, looks like it's going to be tough to find stockers.

And that's why I went with KYB AGX shocks. I got tired of trying to find the RIGHT Bilsteins at a good price.

To the original poster, unless you have a specific reason why you want to stay with the stocker (i.e., don't want to the hassle of replacing the fronts and you want a matching pair) most people are going to recommend going with aftermarket shocks, most of which are at supposedly at least equal to the Decarbons.

You might as well just get some KYB AGX shocks for the price of DeCarbons.

If that deal falls through, I have 4 deCarbon shocks off of a 2000 Z28 with 52,000 miles on them. I'm replacing them with Konis this weekend. They are in excellent shape and still on the car right now. PM me if you're interested.

What's the reason for buying 2 rear decarbon shocks? If they are completely blown and useless, I guess getting a set of used ones for real REAL cheap wouldn't be a horrible idea.

Though if they are just worn, chances are other people's stock shocks are worn as well.
