I was just pokin' around on the 'net yesterday, and happened on to the SLP website. They list the Bilsteins, and there were no notations about being on backorder or out of stock.

Tokico's are an options... I sell 'em for $360 a set. AGX's are an options, I sell those for $409 set. Koni's of course rock, but I'm guessing you knew that and are looking for less costly alternatives.

If it's stock springs, and you want a decent shock that just does it's thing well enough, then I'd say Tokico. If you have lowering springs, I'd say AGX's since you can at least change damping best match what you need for the springs. If you can do Koni's, do Koni's no matter the springs, as they cover all the bases and are the best working and built ones.

Here's my shock page: http://www.stranoparts.com/searchbym...D=20&ModelID=7

Thanks for replies everyone, actualy I'm looking for a good street shock, no drag or canyon carving, just good overall performance (my stock ones ares shut/leaking).

Koni's are just mucho $$,on a vette yeah but on a Z that is no longer a racer, I can't justify.

Hi Sam, stock springs and height, poly bushings all around and a 1' BMR rear sway, Spohn adjustable trq arm and LCAs/relo brackets. What do you think, Tokico or AGX?

FYI, we do have some Bilstein's back in stock (SHOCKING!).

Shocks aren't something I recommend getting cheap on. They are the most important part of making these cars drive well, period. Skimp here and you end up throwing more parts at the car to try and cover for damping that maybe isn't very good. The car doesn't "know" where it's being driven. The fact remains shock control mass and springs, and that's the same no matter what. The harder you drive, the more you ask of the shocks.

You can now take your pick. Bilstien, Tokico, AGX's, Koni's. My car would only get Koni's (and in fact both my cars do have Koni's on them). If you just want something decent and cheap, the Tokico's cost less than the Bilstein's and work ok with stock springs. Bilstein's are more durable but don't really offer any better performance.

They're all on my website.... Options exist, just few really great options.
