this is what i did. put a nut on the stud, flip the shock upside down, hold it by the spring cup and jab it straight into the ground. Make sure you ram the shock straight down and don't impale yourself. The nut isn't necessary if the shocks are junk. This may take a few hard hits but should work like a charm.(plus its free)
