Stainless Steel Brakes, 4-pistons?
I'm looking at getting a big brake kit for the front on my 98 camaro, and I want something that can withstand weekend road-racing but still doesn't completely break the bank (uses standard pads, rotors).
I've narrowed it down to the ssbc's force-ten extreme four-piston setup.
The cheapest I could find it for was $1300, and it says that the pads can be had off-the-shelf. I couldn't seem to find anything about the rotors though, although their in-house replacement rotors are priced very reasonably.
Does anyone have any experience with these, and/or any suggestions on a kit from a different manufacturer?

SSBC makes great kits... the company I used to work for had them on all their show cars... they are also on the fastest production car in the world
I wouldn't be afraid of them...
My ONLY complaint is I'm not that big of a fan of the appearance of the kits... the calipers need a little bit of asthetic work...

Me three! It kills me that everybody makes 6 piston kits from 1800-3500 bucks, and very few make a 4 piston setup for those of us on a budget. I feel that the c5 upgrade is absolutely pointless (just my opinion)! The ctsv setup is fine if you have 18" wheels, but for my 17s a 14" rotor just aint gonna work!
