Those monroe shocks are probably worse than the old stockers you took off. Unfortunately, to get a good set off shocks for our cars, you're going to need to spend about $400 (Bilstiens or KYB AGX). Best of the best is KONI for $800.

Is your car floaty or bouncy?
Check the rear springs to make sure there in the upper spring isolator correctly , and that the isolator in good condition. Then make sure the bottom end (pigtail)of the spring is facing forward.

And also what's your tire pressure? 32psi?

This car isn't going to give you a luxury ride no matter what you do, though I really am impressed with the ride quality with a good set of springs and shocks on it.

Monroe shocks are probably your biggest problem.

I'm guessing your a non ss or non ws6 car with those 16 inch wheels, no? If you are an SS or WS6, the bumpstops on those can make the ride harsh.

35 is a little high for PSI. Go down to 30. What kind of tires do you have? Some tires are more comfortable to ride on than others.
