Default Electric Emergency Brake??

I'm building a '69 Pro Touring from the ground up with an LS2 and 6 speed, TCI sub-frame and Wilwood 4 piston on rear and 6 piston on front. I have eliminated the mud thrower E brake and am having trouble fitting a hand brake in the tunnel area. I'd really like to use an elec or mech activated E brake. I don't think a drag race line lock will work because they need power (+12v) all the time so the Bat will run down. I understand that some late model cars use a motor driven E brake. Has anyone done either the line lock or motor driven e brake sucessufuly? Thanks!

I have the eletronic e-brake on my 06 VW Passat 4motion. The system works wonderfully. I don't know how to convert this system to your car, but you might want to ask the folks on vwvortex.com.

From what I understand, the 2003-06 Lincoln LS also had an electric e-brake. Might be a possibility also....
