Will KYBs work with my (lowering) springs? Current bilstein with slp/eibach?
Basic question: Do the KYBs have any problems with lowering springs?
Details about my situation: My rears are leaking and I broke a strut (shock) mount in the front, so it's time for new shocks. This is a daily/summer driver with 80k and not going to see the track. I can pay cash for the KYBs, I can't pay cash for the Konis, and that's a pretty easy decision for me.
I realize Sam Strano is out to the SCCAs so probably no response from him
I bought the car used. I can't tell for sure which springs I've got. They're either SLP Level 2 Progressives or they're part of the SLP eibach/bilstein kit.
Fronts are marked: SLP 300/450 and 74076
Rears are marked: 3831RRA and 80863
I guess regardless I'm dealing with a 300/450 spring rate and probably lowered about 1.0" I think the KYBs will be fine, I'm just double checking.
