Default Vibration

I am getting pull to the left and right a lot at all speeds especially with rough roads or lumpy roads and at speeds of 60 or up, when I slightly turn to my right, I feel and hear a vibration from what i think is the drivers side front wheel. Is this wheel hub or alignment or possibly both?

Yea man very annoying. If they are worn bad and i get an alignment without rotating or getting new tires, will it continue to do the same? I think my wheel bearings are bad too cause of what I said above and my ABS Inop light comes on a lot.

Get the Alignment checked and your wheels balanced. The slowing down part is probably caused by uneven rotors. Just an opinion..

alignments at most places are about 70 bucks and like 20 bucks for balancing. Sounds like your car may be wandering due to a toe out situation...this causes to vehicle to feel like it wants to pull both ways and it tends to follow the grooves in the road too.

ok so i need an alignment to fix that situation, get my tires rotated, and get it balanced. Could the fact that my front driver side wheel bearings are going out it seems make my car be more likely to do this stuff?

in my experience when a wheel bearing is going out it usually develops some 'play' in the wheel which would make the wheel kinda go where it wants and follow any grooves so depending on how much play there is, if any, it could cause a wander. But also remember I would replace the bearing before any alignment work is done. Also make sure the front tires are in good shape with even wear. Lots of diff things could cause a 'wander'.

k i put in a new wheel hub and now the left side doesn't make a noise, but now when i make the same turn to the right at high speeds, instead of the left wheel vibrating, it seems to be coming from the right wheel...this is rediculous...i spent all day working on it yesterday because i painted my calipers too and now the ABS Light still comes on and the right side vibrates. I am so confused.

ok so i put front pass. side tire to the back, the vibrations really lowered and they sounded like they were coming from the back...so maybe that wheel is out of balance or something...could that be causing this?

you can see visually if the strut is leaking or weeping or if the strut clunks over bumps. Also if the shock is blown or bad the car usually bounces excessivley over bumps. But I wouldnt say a bad strut would cause a vibration.

Yea i don't get too much clunking other than normal stuff...i don't think it is the struts, but def. need to get the tires rotated, balanced, and alignment. Ill get that today and then let you know what happens.

F bodies don't have struts they have shocks.

Run your toe slightly in and it will all but go away. I can't remember how much Sam told me but it is in my glovebox but the car is not here (unfortunately).
