Strut is stuck!!!

Strut is stuck!!! took the struts off compresseded them, top nut was rusted so bad there was not threads so i ended up cutting the nut off, but now i got problems, the damn strut wont come out of the strut mount no matter ho hard i try, i actually pulled on one so hard it broke the rubber and now i have to find another one! how the hell can i get the other one out?

The last set I did that was that bad I cut a X into the mount and replaced the upper mount!
Are you sure the nut is completely off? I would guess the pressure from the spring should free everything up pretty easy after the nut it out of the way.
