You are correct.V6 springs rate is less than the TAs. Formulas also were softer. For drag raccing they are better than the V8 TA springs. They are cheaper than lowering springs to and if you lower the car too much, it can hurt your overall performance. Get the V6 springs and do the hose mod. Now if you happen to lower the fon as well, Get a better sway bar because your cars geometry has changed and making the stocker work harder than it was designed for. Plus matching shocks of course. BTW those are good times for an LT.

You asking if the fronts would be good for the track as well? Or the spring rate. The stock Z28 front is fine for the track. No need to change them. Plus better braking at the topend, little less nose dive. They wont let the front rise too quickly while the rear is being planted. And slower setting down to keep the rear planted. The Z,SS and TA,WS6 all share the same springs. The shocks and sway bars are the diff on the suspension. Now if you go the coilover route, depends on car weight, and other suspension tuning items. And what the purpose of your car, daily drive, weekend toy, rare trackdays. And what your willing to tolerate for driving.
