From what I understand, it is possible if you title the car in another state and then transfer it back after some time period, but I believe it's considered fraud.
I could be wrong, and I'm sure if I am someone will let me know.

Salvage title is different from a rebuilt title tho, isn't it?

Here is what I found:

The definition of a rebuilt title can differ depending upon the state you live in and laws specific to that state.

A "rebuilt title" is placed upon a rebuilt or reconstructed vehicle, which previously was a salvage vehicle but has now been repaired and restored to operation. These vehicles are often severely damaged before they are rebuilt and refurbished parts are typically used during reconstruction. In most states, an inspection of the vehicle is required before the vehicle is allowed to return to the road.

Normally when an insurance company has declared a car as a total loss, it becomes a "salvage vehicle" and CANNOT be driven on the highways or have a valid license plate. It can be sold to an automobile rebuilder to be used either for parts or to be restored ("rebuilt"). If restored, it must be inspected and ultimately a "rebuilt title" will be issued for the vehicle. A rebuilt vehicle with a rebuilt title CAN be driven on the highways. The guidelines for getting a rebuilt title vary by state.

I'm about 99% sure that Texas only has the salvage title. Once its a slavage title it remains a salvage title whether its made roadworthy again or not.

It will still show on Carfax. And usually the 'rebuilt' is the fixed of 'salvage'.

Everytime a new title is issued, it will say rebuilt on Carfax. Even if you title it out of state and then go back to your state and the title comes back not branded... if you check carfax it will say rebuilt.

Here is a Carfax I just ran for someone yesterday that had a Salvage title and the it was rebuilt.

call TXDOT and find out the exact process and/or if its even possible. i do believe it is...

my brother had a salvage Ford Ranger that was bought and fixed in Kansas. When he brought it down here to TX he had to go to the State Trooper/Highway Patrol and they do a series of inspections/tests to make sure the can is road worthy. From there you get inspection and proper documentation to take into the DMV to register the vehicle, get plates and a title issued as "rebuilt" and will no longer be a "salvaged" title vehicle...

one quick call is all it takes...

So what exactly is your question??
I thought you were asking if you could some how remove the "rebuilt" statement on your title, in which case
Rebuilt Title: A rebuilt title is issued when a vehicle has been repaired and has passed its state's rebuilt title procedure. Once a rebuilt title has been issued the vehicle can be insured, registered and driven like any other vehicle but the title will always be branded with a rebuilt or previous salvage notation.
The rebuilt statement can be lost between states because Texas does not check the status of the vehicle in the state it came from, but like 99Formula said it will remain on the Carfax report.
