Default HRP today 1/25?

Anybody going? Weather is supposed to clear out about lunch and should be nice and cool with very light wind. 2-8pm, racing starts at 3.

I'll be there, trying to best my 12.15 in my vette.

Great weather of a -900 or so DA.

There should also be a bunch of late model GTO's running.

The track was not that great as far as prep goes. I hooked 1st, and 2nd, but when my car shifted to 3rd it just annialated the tires.

I only made one pass, when you can't hook @ half track it's useless. Then a GTO owner decides to hold it to the floor spinning until it went sideways into the wall. That was an hour ordeal!!

I wasted an entire evening at HRP. It sucked!

Granted they did shave the track to make it better for the long term, but it just killed us. We made 6 passes and blew the tires off on every pass.

I was in the vette racing that guy in that race. Scary to say the least. It's ironic that on that race, my R/T was .009 (not bad for a 54 year old man ) and I launched real good. Glad I did or he would have hit me.

I bet it will be on youtube within the next couple of days.

12.3 @ 116 Not as good as the other night, but then again neither was the weather. I think that as an ex-GTO owner seeing some of my buddies and having my old car there, I was really pretty pumped and launched harder than the other night, but harder launch is not always better.

I think I lined up with you once that night ... track hooked pretty well for me but I may have been running better tires and I think the right lane is better as well.

I'm guessing that was your mustang I ran into on the way back from Sealy? It ran strong!
