Default Rearend shop DFW

I saw a thread a while back somewhere on here about a guy in DFW that does awesome rearend work. My 10 bolt is getting rather whiney and I don't have the 2500$ for a 12 bolt. Basically I just want a basic rebuild but with a pinion spacer deal instead of a crush washer. So if someone can recommend someone that won't rape me. I swear the guy on here charged like 450$ for gears and a rebuild. But I am not sure. Maybe someone with a warranty.

Also anyone in the metromess do LT1 dyno tuning?

Alright I will call you monday. Like I said probably just a rebuild with that pinion crush sleeve replaced. I thought about going to 3.73s but it probably isn't worth it unless my gears are shot...I think 4.10s will be too much for the cam and nitrous. It alread doesn't hook on the street. And I don't go to the track enough to matter so. Yea apparently yall have a good rap so I will holler at you on monday. Would I need to pull the rearend and bring it to ya'll or just drive the car up there?

Oh yea so who does LT1 tuning in DFW? My buddy takes his truck to RPM? maybe up in lewisville. He has been pleased but didn't know who does LT1 tunes. I've got a mail order now that I am happy with but I went up to a larger shot and want to make sure nothing blows up

All you have to do is bring the car; don't worry about removing the rearend or anything like that. It will take 3-4 hours total.
I've heard a LOT of good things about A&S on Keller Hicks Rd for LT1 tuning. The guy there is the only one that Ive heard of still doing LT1 tunes.

So does A & S Auto do street tunes or dyno tunes? I would really like to get my drivabilty up. Well I mean it drives good except cruising at an RPM of like 3000+ then it seems like I get a slight miss. I assume it has something to do with the tune or the cam. WOT is fine and idle is fine. So is cruising under 3000. Never did it until have the tune/ cam.

And what is A&S charging to tune?

Glad I saw this thread.. I too have a LT1 in my 95 Bird. I do plan on going to a 9" rear but that will probably be next year (unless I can find a good solid one for about $1500 installed). Otherwise, I will probably just get my current 10 bolt beefed up like Ihasfip. I also need to loose my 3.23 rear gear and opt for a 3.73. I'm in SW Fort Worth off of S. Hulen. My rear end is pretty much out of my car at the moment (installing a new Racetronix full pump - What a pain in da butt!). Since it's Sunday, I will give you a call tomorrow.

Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance does excellent work and provides great customer service. I have been very pleased with the work he has done on my WS6. It is worth the drive to go see him.

Jasons a good guy. He stayed late to finish rapping my tranny rebuild up so I could have the car that night. Good guy and great prices.

Gonna take him my rear soon for a rebuild, maybe stronger axles and some 4.10s. Its whinin like a son of a bitch now.

Deffinetly good work at TDP, rebuilt the T56 for my silverado. And it was deffinetly a mess, even hooked me up with a used tailshaft housing since mine was cracked pretty bad. Tranny is still holding up just fine and i have been less than easy on it.
