Default National Signing Day

Another great day for college football fans everywhere! I've been glued to ESPN all morning checking out who is going where.

http://insider.espn.go.com/insider/r...football/index

Good to see the top rated defensive prospect headed to ND! They've needed help defensively for a while now! Don't F this up, Weis!

And if you've at all wondered what makes the spread offense so effective, check out this article with YouTube clips about Urban Meyers version of it. It's an amazing read.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on it all day. Glad to see that we signed all of our early commits.

It is 100% true, but I don't blame him. It will help him look better for his college career. Although he would of been guaranteed Thorpe winner at Texas

'Dre Kirkpatrick is gonna get top rate defensive coaching at Alabama. Your idea that going to the run-oriented SEC is a cop-out is crazy talk at best. Saban is a defensive minded head coach who can turn that kid into a first round draft-pick if he works hard enough and is fortunate enough to not be injured.

Being at Texas = Thorpe Award and being coached by the most highly regarded D-coordinator in the game = top 15 pick.

Aaron Ross - 20th pick and he wasn't even that good in college.
Michael Griffin - 19th pick
Quentin Jammer - 5th pick

Name an Alabama cornerback in the NFL...I dare you...

Not to get in the middle of the TEXAS debate here but I am really pleased by West Virginia's class. We did allot better than I thought we would.

If you think he can't win the Thorpe award at Alabama you've lost your mind. If he's good enough he could win it almost any D1 school.

It's been a Big 12 award for the most part recently

Plus, exposure at Texas is awesome. Alabama had a fluke year last year than got exposed.

The fact that you think the kid can't win that award at Alabama means you need to expand your football knowledge outside of what happens in Austin.

I think I've proven with my posts on this board that I know much more about football than some of the UT guys here would like to admit.

5 of the last 8 Thorpe winners have been Big 12 players

Not a coincidence.

And exposure at Alabama is second-rate? Some of you UT fans need to take the burn orange glasses off and see things for how they really are.

Alabama has a weak schedule last year and got a lot of coverage for being undefeated.

Texas football leads in revenue every year. Texas gets the most exposure.
