how to check what year PCM is?

how to check what year PCM is? anyway to check what year a PCM is without hooking it up to HPtuners, etc.
like is there a date stamp anywhere or serial # with date on it anywhere??

I have a 1998 PCM and harness as well as a 1999 harness and PCM, I have the part number for the '99, but missing the '98 sticker. I can tell the difference between harnesses due to a 3-wire ECT sensor('98) or a 2-wire ECT sensor ('99-'02) though.
