Yeah I'm pretty excited about it. My buddy won last year with a very low 10. His cage wasn't certified to run 9s so he slowed it down just a bit. There was a guy who made an 8 and low 9 second pass but was dqed for being nowhere near legal, lol.

i'll be there just to check it out, my car is not true street legal anymore. FYI any of you guys that plan on racing in true street or any class, be sure that your caris race legal, i work with one of the guy who do tech and he has thrown people out even for the smallest infraction. that includes cutting off the fender lip for the true street cars.

i'm just going off what i was told. they threw a guy out for cutting his fender lips, the guy even left the tech a nasty email for it, i thought it was funny. i'm just putting it out there for a fyi, if the car isn't a 100% legal and its tech card gets pulled then no one can say they weren't told. HRP threw a ls1gto member out for going faster than 11.5 with no roll bar and it was his first pass.

I remember hearing about this at the one in dallas... At ennis the event was dead, and they had opened up 10.5W to all brands for that event just to get some more people there.

confused as to how not having a fender lip renders it's ability to be street legal....I've never been givin any kinda crap for that on any of my cars..(2 out of my 3 had a rolled rear fender lip)

Wow, how times have changed. I remember back when I was racing in the mod-motor class in '99 and '00 how packed it was. That's a shame that it's dropped off that bad.

I think it would be great if a non ford won. That would then bring back some of the faster fords.
