Default Where's all the 6spd T/As at dangit!?

Been looking for a nice, clean 6spd ls1 T/A 99-02 car for about a month or so now, I cand find some SS's that are in my price range but the T/A's are freaking rediculous at times...15k for a car with 120k+ miles on it?? c'mon now..... Not being picky either, other than not looking for a red one..just a Stock, 6spd T/A, at the most a bolt on car....WTF are they at?? always seem to find them when I'm not looking...

While I do agree with you that some people still think these things are worth their weight in gold, I'd say you need to be willing to travel a bit to find a good deal.

Not sure if you've done that already, but it's definetely something you might want to consider.

They are getting harder to find in any kind of decent shape. I think we all know the build quality on some of the inside parts isn't great. Have you thought about a formula? Lighter than the Ta, and alot of f-body guy's agree much cleaner body lines. My 98 M6 NBM formula may be for sale soon, 59k very clean inside and out. Leather all opts bolt'ons polished 98-00 ws6 wheels.

I'll sell you mine and you can put a stock cam in it and then it would be just like a bolt on car. Check out the ad in my sig. I'm not that far from Beaumont. Make me an offer I cant refuse.

well, I have to finance the majority of it, and getting what I need for a 99 with 140k on the clock would be impossible...even though it has a rebuilt motor, banks just don't look at it that way..Trade you a honda for it...lol..It's a nice car non the less

Have you checked with your bank on financing any car older than 5 years? Most banks won't touch them at all, but some credit unions do.

That is good to know. Bet that 11K down swayed them though, as long as your down payment puts their loan value at much less than book value on a vehicle, they tend to like those odds.
