Default Need Your Opinion on a Z28

I came across a 1998 Gold Z-28 at a Houston dealership today, loaded, 77,700 miles. Exterior is a 8.5 out of 10 & Interior is a 9.5 out of 10. Real clean car, no mods, 6 speed, I'm only having second thoughts because it is 11 years old............... The only thing I could find, is the steering seems kind of hard. Price: $6000 drive out. Should I grab it or should I take a pass?
I need your input, I'm going to sleep on it.

Thanks

As long as everything checks out okay, I'd say that is not bad at all w/TT&L included. The car is going to cost you about 5500-5600.

I have thought about picking up another 4th gen but have the same hesitation, being as old as they are, dont want anothe nickel and dime money pit, already have one.

Other then the color it sounds good. Those are lows miles for that car. Little more than 7,000 a year going by the old rule of thumb. No mods and that clean? Thats a treasure. But the color would keep ME from buying it. But, if you already have an F-Body why get another? The mods would cost you a pretty shiney penny. 98 to 01-02 standers

I'm about to list my car back up for sale. Like, TOMORROW, if the weather holds out long enough to get some updated pictures. If you're interested, let me know.

You can see pics in the link in my sig. The Fikse FM5s are gone (as is the 12-bolt and some of the aftermarket suspension stuff), but I'm selling it with the DPE R05-S Variant wheels, which (as far as I know) are the only ones on a 4th gen F-body.

Yeah the blue one looks clean. More miles though. It has suspension and some mods.

Screw it I'd buy it....I bought my 98 back in august and it now has 154k miles on it. No issues yet. From what I've seen if you take care of these cars they will last a long time....

I know someone with a gold z28 locally, and the color is real nice. I haven't seen a metallic blue one in person in a while, but it definitely sticks out!

I see the online ad now. If I hadn't of just bought a house I'd seriously consider buying that gold Z. I think it looks very clean.

I passed, I just couldn't bring myself to buy an 11 year old car. They were pissed, but they were quick to inform me there is 3 other offers and I should change my mind quick.

Sales pitch to pressure you I'm sure. I'd buy it if I didn't already have one and if it was another color. Gold and the teal green were not my favorite colors on the F-Body.

If you check the carfax----> there was no activity between 6/1999 ~ 2/2002, and 2/2002 ~ 4/2004, like it was stored for a long period of time.
