Default Attention Smokers Price increase on Cigarettes Monday

Going up 7.10-8.10 on one carton of cigs. This is getting crazy. So you'll be paying 50bucks for a carton of Marlboro. And i know alot of you smokers will say I'll just quit. But didn't you say that the last time it went up. This is just FYI.

Everything has it's price apparantly. IMO smoking should be banned in all restaurants and bars. I went to a bar tonight to watch the UFC and it was absolutely ridiculous how bad the cigarrete smoke was. It's BS that when you leave a bar that your hair and clothes reak of cigarette smoke. The public ban is coming. It can't get here soon enough for the non-smokers. Damn!

If the non-smokers don't like the bar they are in, why not go somewhere else? No one is making the non smokers go in there and stay.

Smokers can smoke outside, no one is making you leave. There definitely needs to be a ban on smoking in restaurants and bars nation wide.

In Austin it's banned, you have to be soomething like 15ft away from the doors when smoking. I am a smoker and I like it like this.

Does anyone have a link to some more info?

I'd vote for $20 or more a pack.

Sounds like a typical "majority takes away from the minority" situation to me. Americans have done it since the beginning. Sad.

It's not sad, your bad habit is effecting the health of those people around you who have no choice but to inhale second hand smoke. Big tobacco has tight grip on smokers ***** so I can see why some think it's their right, the smoke is clouding their judgement. Fact smokers are addicted to a substance(s), it's a vice, not a matter of freedom. I remember when people used to debate whether it should be illegal to have an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Alcoholics would argue, "Well I'm just having a few beers on the way home after a stressful day at work." Then their next brilliant point would be something like..."If I can't drink and drive, I might as well be in Russia."
