Default 650R installed and ready to rumble!

I am excited to say the least.

The quality that has gone into this system is on par with some of the best work I have seen since I have been in this performance "hobby".

I dropped the car off at Johns place 2 days ago and got a phone call today stating that the package is installed and will be put the dyno first thing Monday morning!

John also provided me with pictures of the exhaust system before the installation.

I own and operate a fabrication shop in Houston. I am a certified welder and working on getting my CWI license towards the end of may.

I can honestly say that the quality of this exhaust system is second to none.

Granted I know there are different "exhaust" systems out there. And to be honest I am sure they are just as good as these.

What sold me was the fact that John created a 1 7/8 header system as opposed to the 1 3/4 header system that bellenger offers.

This could be a good or bad thing depending on what someone wants out of their viper. I might have given up a little TQ to go with the 7/8 but there is no question in my mind that this beast will breath alot better in the end and will provide me with the performance and sound that I am looking for.

A good friend of mine Tim Palmer has the Bellenger system installed on his 2008 ACR.

I didnt have a chance to see this exhaust system before it was installed, but I have seen the quality underneath the car and the sound and performance this system makes.

I told John what he was up against and let him know that I want pictures before installation and that he needed to prove to me that I made the right choice in going with your system as opposed to the Bellenger system which has proven itself time and time again.

Needless to say its not an easy sell over a already proven exhaust system.

Going into this process I also let John know before he started on my car that I am going to be honest with everyone on the following:

A: Looks good
B : Sounds good
C: If the quality of the exhaust is good
D: If it runs good and makes the power that I want out of this system.

Needless to say A and C are covered by the pictures provided, and like the old saying goes "A Picture is worth a thousand words"

Take a look for yourself.

I will keep everyone posted on B and D later this week and will be sure to provide dyno information and the performance aspect of this system to everyone before someone takes the leap and makes the investment on what system to go with.

Hell I might even talk to Tim about doing a Bellener vs Hennessey showdown with a small little roll race that can provide more accurate information as to who is really king!!

In the mean time I look forward to hearing this puppy start up and feeling the performance of a 650R package!

I Also purchased 3.55 Gears from JonB @ Partsrack! Cant wait to get back in the V and see what the power difference is!

Mods so far to date are:
650R package
3.55 Gears
Upgraded Mopar PCM
Eibach Springs
CCW SP600's 19/20
Shifter (On order)

Little Happy Pappy is going to be going on it soon

Reliable 6XX+rwhp on motor with 770rwhp on tap and not even breaking a sweat.

These cars are unbelievable.

Interesting. I would not worry about mid range and low rpm torque loss with those larger primaries because of the cubic inches you have from the motor.

I would worry more on getting some more RPM out of the PCM reflash so you can actually wind it up a bit more.

Should be interesting to see since most people in America still have a distaste for Hennessey. Can't wait to see the finished product.

PCM increases RPM to 6500. Nothing major, but for a big heavy v10 crank shaft, that is moving.

They could certainly do a lot more. It would not kill the motor if they turned 7K to 7,200....

It is only a 3.96" stoke. That is NOTHING. LOL!!!!

Imagine the IHRA Pro Stock motors that see over 7,500 rpm and have a 5"+ stroke.

|Ring seal and piston speed is not really the issue.

Looks good Garret, may I ask the price tag on that exhaust system installed? Will you have before and after dyno numbers?

Weigh the IHRA crank and then weigh a Viper crank. No way a stock crank will see that RPM

I have heard of some new cranks coming out and it may be possible!
