Real Performance Motorsports
I recently took my car to these guys at the beginning of January.
They were suppose to order a new transmission and put a rear end in the car that they already had in the shop.
We paid for the transmission and for some mysterious reason it is still not here and when we called today they said the rear end wasn't there either???
Its been nearly three months.
They will not return a single phone call at all and will only answer their phone half the time.
The last time I took my car down there they were very quick and professional and had it back out in less than three days.
We are beginning to worry they spent the money on other things and now they cant pay to fix my car or something worse.
I rely on this car to get me to school and work everyday. Could someone that maybe lives close to the shop check up on it for me?
I live up in Oklahoma and its hard to find a ride down there. If they don't finish soon we are just going to pick the car up and ask for a full refund. I don't understand why they would be so unprofessional and have horrible service all of a sudden.
Anyway, I just had to get that rant out of my system. I would appreciate if someone that lived by them could just go by and make sure my car is alright. If there isn't a good reason for all of this I'm never taking my car back there again. Also, I don't know if this is in the right section, I just figured people in Texas might know what was going on with this shop that's in Texas...

Post pics of your car, I can swing by and check on it to make sure it's still there. As far as them not calling back that really is unprofessional and 3 months for a trans and rear end install is obsurd. I'm guessing the RPM you're talking about is in Lewisville off Mill St.? They're literally 5 minutes away from me.

Yes that is the shop I'm talking about.
They will not reply to any e-mails now either.
This is getting ridiculous.
These are the best camera phone pics I have at the moment.
I really would appreciate it if you could swing by there.

does your car have a license plate cover that says, "i bitch slap mustangs"? I saw it sitting in the back yard area they had?
it's still there.
I actually had great experience with them few weeks ago. they actually took the time to change out the fuel filter while dyno tuning.
I would give them a call and give them a chance to make it right man

We have called and sent emails NUMEROUS times. First they said the rear end was done, now they are saying it hasn't arrived? and It doesn't take three months to ship a transmission or put one in. The first time I went down there with my car it was a really good experience but now they are doing a horrible job and I would have to think twice to EVER take my car them again.

i feel your pain.
I suggest you plan a drive to lewisville and figure this one out with them in person.
i left my computer there accidently, and soon learned that they don't answer their phones.
good luck on your situation man.
but yeah, that car is there

I don't know if I could manage to spend that much on gas and everything. First they said the trans was suppose to be here two weeks ago on a Friday. Then they said it was suppose to be here the following Wednesday. Then they said it was going to be here yesterday and we could pick it up to day but behold they haven't done a thing to the car including the rear end and its been three months.

You're getting a classic runaround. There is always a reason. If you already paid them, I would guess they spent your money on other things they were behind on and are waiting until they get enough money from other customers before they do your car. And these kinds of shops never answer phones. This is just my personal experience with this type of situation.

Like I've said we called them this morning to see if we could pick it up and he said the transmission supposedly still isn't here and neither is the rear end that they said they already had done.
Here is a quote from the e-mail
"The rear end is done and ready to go."

If the car is driveable just pick it up. They aren't doing you any favors so stop ***** footing around with them. They are a business providing a service, if they can't provide said service then they have been holding your personal property for 3 months and there is no reason that you have to wait or give them a chance to make it right. You have waited 3 months!!!! They had every oppurtunity to make it right and still haven't. BTW, what rear and trans are you getting put in that has a 3 month backorder?
