Default drove a ZR1 today....

one of our good customers at the restaurant I valet at knows my love for all things chevy smallblock, and decided to let me take it out with him after he and his wife ate(the wife obliged to wait at the valet stand for 15 minutes). took it out on the tollway for some umm, rompin. bone stock, the thing is unreal. my camaro puts over 400 to the ground and it feels like a hot wheels car in comparison. It turns on rails and in second gear going 60 will smoke the 335's. I think it has about 1 inch of ground clearance and the front brake rotors are bigger than the wheels on my car! the weight of this car is the highlight i think, it's so nimble...and just happens to have 640hp. completely amazed with this thing. that is all. sorry about the pics...I wasn't in charge of those or they would be better.....

I've driven v12 vantage's, mercielagos, Ford GT's,a carrerra gt, and I was more impressed with this car....from a performance standpoint. he told me to let er rip....then told me to back off of about 155 so he could keep his dessert down, ha. its almost impossible to keep the 335's planted before third gear, and the sound is just sick when you hit enough to fully open the exhaust.

From another guy who gets trusted to drive other peoples cars, it's good to know guys like him. Cool story. I've also had owners tell me "That'll do" and then tell everyone how fast we went. LOL

the fact that this car is some AR headers and a pulley away from 700hp just scares me. haha. I'm completely infatuated with this car. I can't stop thinking about owning one.....it almost makes me want to give up modding my f-body.

The driver's seat of a ZR1... just a fantasy to most of us.

I just can't wrap my head around an EXTRA 300 hp and being down 300 lbs. And any shnook with a fat enough wallet can buy one of these things. How unsafe.

But that's just sour grapes.

You are one lucky SOB.

Damn son, I valet part-time in Victory Park at Luna de Noche and Medina. Tell the ZR1 guy I'll comp him the parking if he want's to swing by! Hopefully he will let me beat on her, we get all kinds of exotics downtown...but haven't drove a new ZR1 yet.
