Default Can someone xplain the inspection process in Houston?

I just registered my car in Harris County and I need to get an inspection. I have an off-road y with the codes deleted, any chance it will pass?

I am pretty sure as long as you arent throwing any codes you are good to go. I've never had them check my car for emissions equipment, and you can definately tell it's not stock. Although i am in galveston county so it may be different.

where do i go to get new plate my car was registered in washignton but ive moved down here to the houston area.

aggie,

most shops do not check to see if you have a cat if the car is 96 and newer (obd2) they just check the safety related items,(lights, tires) and plug into the obd2 connector and let it see if there are any codes... if you have had a tune, and had these things removed from your program, then more than likely you will be ok... (unless you find a shop that is very thorough)

96 ram air, before you can register a vehicle from out of state in texas, you must first pass a vehicle inspection (state inspection) and you must also get a "green sheet" while you are there (an extra $1). then you can take this to a courthouse and register your vehicle, you will also have to fill out forms at the courthouse, or you can get most of them on-line...
