Default Dallas Raceway is AWESOME

Went up to Dallas raceway last night and was very impressed by the facilities. 100% concrete with 4400' of shut down, awesome track food, and bathrooms cleaner than alot of resturants. Went up there chasing the elusive 9sec slip.

Last time out the car ran:
60' 1.501
330' 4.268
1/8 6.522 @ 109.83
1000' 8.438
1/4 10.053 @ 139.72
This was spinning past the 330' timers @ 3210# raceweight

I added 70# to the back of the car to help with traction Raceweight of 3280 and on the first nitrous pass ran

60' 1.543 (launched on 950psi to soften the hit)
330' 4.195
1/8 6.418 @ 111.04
did not get any more data due to track error

Next nitrous pass launched on 1100psi
60' 1.425 :bigthumb: carried the wheels all the way through first gear
330' 4.204
1/8 6.478 @ 109.07
1000' 8.431
1/4 10.096 @ 133.68
This pass the shifter went all the way to third instead of second...so I pulled from the 60' mark to the end of the track in 3rd gear

All in alll I was pleased with the way the car ran and will absolutley be using Dallas Raceway as my normal track to run at....for those the don't know where it is...its only about 20 minutes farther than Ennis if you are going north on I35

Damn if you could get a clean run in you'd have 9's in the bag!

Hang in there Ray.

That track is awesome. Last time I talked to Chris we were gonna try to meet up there, but I guess he didn't go. I was planning on going next Thursday, but with the heat, I'm probably gonna stay home. It's too hot for me to better my pb I think.

3770 with me(220) in it...fairly light for a gto with all the seats still in...the nitrogen filled tires are the trick...

i have some fresh tires coming...actually the car will make a 10.85 pass on a good day but since this is only the 3rd time it has ever been to a 1/4 mile track i am already cussing the 3.46 gear...

i may just be content with a 10.95 but if and when it 60ft's(1.54 several times at other tracks) it will be alright...

nah...it'll get there pretty soon...loosing 50lbs ain't gonna make it 60ft...the fresh tires will fix that...the 200 shot from your plate kit will cure the back half some...nice piece btw...early 50 shot testing shows a much smoother overall afr, unlike the old shark nozzle which was quite jagged on the logs...

true...but for every 100# you lose is .1...so 50# is .05 and you ran an 11.03 so with the pass seat removed that gets you your 10.99 right there.

In my old 01 WS6 I could take almost 200# out of the car in 30-45 minutes at the track.

Only mod was an air lid and it ran 12.8 @ 108 through an A4
