Some progress pics of our TEXAS MILE entry!
Just thought we'd post up some pics about one of the projects we are currently working on here at the shop. This particular one is a 2007 C6 ZO6 that we are building for the Texas Mile...and some 1/4 mile drag racing
Well, this part is done! The 10 point chromoly roll cage is in. The fit/finish is top notch. The Halo Bar/windshield, and a-pillar bars are tucked up VERY tight and out of the way just like we wanted. We are very pleased with the way it turned out. Here are some pictures. The attachment points are state-of-the-art quality using chromoly sleeves for the bolts, gussets, plates on every side, boxed/bolted etc. not just drilling and tapping into aluminum for support for a roll bar like we had seen another done. The 'chute and release cable are easily removable for some street action.
Weve got a combo thats almost done that should put us as the fastest corvette overall in the Texas Mile
Cleanly done..

I believe the fastest vette at the texas mile was around 210-220mph set in a red c5 with a STS kit making aroud 1100rwhp. But I could be mistaken - contact Shannon with Texas Mile to confirm the record.

I heard about this car from the wrecker driver that came by and got my toolbox the other day. I forgot his name, but he told me that the cage looked nice. I also saw the oil on his wrecker bed from the car. It doesnt have a motor in it right now but I bet it will real soon. Keep up the good work Mike and crew.
