Default Need advice on purchase....

I purchased a product form a person on here and I was told that he estimated shipping to be $25 and if it was more he would cover it and call it even. Well he shipped it out late due to circumstances that I understood and said postage was just a little over 50 dollars and asked if since it was so high I would send him another $25. My question is should I actually do it, first I was very upset that he even asked after we had already worked a deal and I am pretty sure that he went through the post office instead of UPS with is always cheaper on heavier bigger packages. My question is who thinks I should pay the extra 25 and who thinks I shouldnt?

Not knowing both sides....

I wouldn't pay it. IMO, it is the seller's responsibility to find out all shipping charges prior to making the deal final. Then, if you agree on covering part of the shipping fees you live up to it. He should have found out the cost prior or deal with the loss.

That is a $25 mistake the seller made. I always measure and weigh by packages on UPS.com and try to give an accurate quote. If I undershoot it, I pay up.
