Just thought I'd post up a link. Promods, Real Outlaw Door Slammers, Quick 8, West Texas True Ten Five, and West Texas Outlaw Prostreet classes all running at Penwell Knights Raceway this weekend. Friday night qualifying (Saturday qualifying for those that can't make friday) and Saturday raceday!

For those who haven't been to Penwell in a couple years, it has been completely rebuilt and is the nicest 1/4 mile track in the area! These races have had huge turnouts of both racers and specators!

Is this in lubbock ?

Nah I think it's near Midland or Odessa. Only track I remember near Lubbock was Idalou or the old air force base runway.

Its west of Odessa just off the caprock you will come to Penwell. Aint nothing there but alot of left behind Equipment and PKR is about 1 mile south of I 20. There is a sign letting you know where to exit.

It's pretty impressive with what they have done. New pavement, stands, bathrooms, E.T. booth, concession, parking, etc. Basically the cross-over bridge and tower are the only things that reminds you that you are at Penwell. It was actually featured on Inside Dragracing two weeks ago.

And its also very well lit up at night. The new owners have done a trendous job out there. And the anouncer adds his flair which is nice. Its great to see the owners putting money back into the track and not doing whatever. Plus Gary is a racer from forever and It sure beats the roads like 9 mile-Faudree-and south loop for racing-lol.

Thanks guys its great to hear positive feed back. Don't forget about qualifying tomorrow night come on out and see some low numbers! We'll be there racing the turbo truck and working as track crew too!
