Default Anyone here qualified to do Elevation Certifications?

Our mortgage company is requiring us to provide an Elevation Certification in order to waive our need for flood insurance or to calculate what it may cost for required insurance. We have never had any flood concerns or had to have flood insurance, but apparently we fall within or very close to a flood zone.

I need a little help if there is anyone that is familiar with this type FEMA BS.

Thanks!

So is your home in a flood zone or just close to a flood zone? Do you know what zone your property is located in?

If FEMA has updated their maps you may now fall into a flood zone and that would be why flood insurance is now required

We were never in a flood zone, but apparently we are close enough now to have the mortgage company question it.

I am having an evaluation done now to see where we stand.

Thanks FEMA
