Default Looking for "the best" tuner in Texas

I posted this in the PCM section also, but thought I might get better and more info here.

I am looking for a tuner to tune my car, and I'm looking for the best within a ~500 mile radius from Abilene, Tx. That would include San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, DFW area, Houston, and the like. Who would you guys recommend and what has been your experience with them? I had Hennessey do the mail order tune just to get the car up and running to make sure I didn't have any mechanical issues, and was going to go to them for a dyno tune. However, there were some issues with them and I would prefer to go with a diff. tuner.

Thanks for the help,
Zach

Lots of good tuners... but if you want the best, Joe H at LMR might be your answer. $$$

lmr or g force is what I would do. I bought my car with a tune from rpm and it sucks, with a damn 236/238 cam they set the idle at 1000rpm and it shifts at 5800-6000

I'm actually trying to find a nice way to ask about peoples reservations with certain companies without it turning ugly. There is a reason I'm hesitant about a couple of the Texas tuners, but they are sponsors here so I don't want to say anything negative if it doesn't hold water...so, that's why I'm asking for real experiences. What I'm "worried" about didn't appear in any searches, and would be something somewhat recent...which again, I couldn't find anything on (mostly because the threads regarding some of it have been deleted). I have been somewhat screwed by two tuners, so I'd really like to avoid the third.

I can tune it for you. I'll hook up my Palm Pre to your car and we will go from there.

Instead of asking the same cookie cutter question, just ask what you are "worried" about and be done with it.

Ok then...in light of recent-ish events is there any reason not to trust LMR?

No he doesn't and nevermind it was a joke. I will leave it in the past.

I used MTI in the past, but there no longer around. Plenty of Houston shops that can take care of your needs.
