Default HTX: where do you get T56 work done?

Second gear synchro is not working 50% of the time and rev-matching doesn't help too much. The tranny has already been rebuilt by the previous owner but warranty has expired.

So, where do the Houston guys take your T-56 for upgrades?

Top choice, by a longshot = Late Model Racecraft. They have Joe and Scott who've built hundreds. They did my swap and if my tranny ever goes tango umbrella, it's going there. www.latemodelracecraft.com

You can also give Derrick at MORRISMOTORSPRTS.NET a call. He did a great job on my rebuild. Hes located in Alvin.

Thanks for direction guys. I'll give them all a call. I should probably be more specific about my goals though.

I WILL make this car do a 200+mph standing mile. It WILL have 1XXXrwhp before I'm done. And it WILL be a 6 speed. I'm going to take this project head on as soon as I finish up these damn CPA req's and exams.

LMR can do it. Take a look at this thread.

Given your requirements, LMR is the only one I would call. I would also plan to do this dance a couple times and not having it be terribly street friendly. Having Joe and Scott in house, there's no one better experienced with HIGH power applications through the T56. I think Joe still has the record for fastest 6 speed f-body.

Only thing I'm worried about is my tranny was already built by Six Speed Inc a few thousands mile ago but out of warranty due to time.

Maybe it is just an alignment or torque spec issue. Maybe its my driving. Or maybe its something else entirely.

jmil: I'm ready for the long-term part of the project. My DD isn't too bad
