Looking to buy a New Handgun..
well the time has come for me to look into replacing my Old Handgun of Choice which is a Glock G17, now I love having it but it seems that 9mm and .45 ammo are getting hard to find and when you do find it it's pretty expensive..anyways...I've been looking into the Glock G23 .40 since it is a bigger caliber but a smaller gun than my G17 and would be alot easier to conceal as well as the Springfield XD .40 which my dad has and is gonna let me shoot and see how I like it...
on a side note, My G17 is a converted G18 which makes it a full Auto just like the G18 but also has a Semi-Auto setting which makes it fun to shoot

The Glock 23 is a great gun! I've shot it many times and it is smooth and accurate. I had the Glock 27(.40 Cal. sub compact) and it was a nightmare. I have the Glock 26(9mm sub compact) and it is a great concealed gun and with the clip extender, gives it an extra round. If you want a .40, you can't go wrong with the 23.

Probably not a good idea to admit in a public forum that you have a full auto weapon...unless you have a class III license for it. either way cool gun. I recomend going to the range shoot them all and buy the one fits you best.

I had a G23 and it was a great gun. I think my favorite was the G33 sub-compact .357sig though. It was just as accurate as my fullsize and midsize glocks surprisingly. I've had 5-6 Glocks so far and have another fullsize G22 .40 now. But I'm wanting a Springfield XDM too.

I'm also thinking of getting another one. Since I already have 2 9mm, both Beretta 92FS (one Stainless with Crimson Trace Grip and the other being Police Black). I also have a Kimber Pro Carry II 1911 .45, all black. So .40 is my next choice and I was also looking at the G23, but I was thinking of getting the G23C which is the same but with a Compensated barrel.

Here is what you're going to do instead of peddle your crap in this thread:
1.) Get into mullet-mobile.
2.) Drive down to Wal-Mart or BestBuy.
3.) Go to computer section.
4.) Look for a box that looks like this:
5.) Buy said keyboard.
6.) Do not come back onto this forum or any forum until you learn how to use this key:
kplzthxbye.

I dont know what the OP is smoking, but if you cant get 9mm ammo, then you cant get anything else. 9mm is the cheapest and most readily available ammo out there, hands down. If you find .40 cal ammo out there and cant find 9mm, show me where. I saw 9mm ammo at every Academy and gun shop well before I saw .40 or .45.

It would be interesting to see if Springfield Armory make a XDm-40 sub compact. I would definitely purchase one of those. That Beretta PX4 Storm Subcompact is also a bad *** gun.

I call bs on the g18. Airsoft doesn't count.

The Glock 18 has an identical appearance to the Glock 17, however the g18 has the addition of the fire selector. Due to the fully automatic mode, the internal infrastructure of the Glock 18 is markedly different from the Glock 17, and the parts are not interchangeable. This was purposefully performed by Glock in order to ensure that the Glock 17 was not a semi automatic version of the Glock 18, however the two would be considered separate and distinct pistols.
Legality
Some jurisdictions and countries have laws that place unique and special restrictions on semi-automatic variants of fully automatic weapons, and if the Glock 18 were to be essentially identical to a Glock 17, the Glock 17 would fall within the purview of those laws and be unavailable in those countries and jurisdictions.
The Glock 18 is in the United States an exclusively law enforcement use pistol that utilizes standard Glock 17 magazines, holding either 17 or 19 rounds. The G18 can be used with special 31 or 33-round extended magazines, however this configuration is less common. There have been known to be a few Glock 18s exclusively and privately owned in accordance with the National Firearms Act.
