where to have 02 not ready codes read

where to have 02 not ready codes read went to a couple of autopart stores to borrow their obdll hand held readers to check if my 02 sensors are showing ready status. my problem is that those handhelds only show codes when the check engine light is on so they cant see the status of my 02. any ideas where i can get these looked at prior to going to the inspection station?

I have a scan tool and mine showed 6 of 8 ready, with my egr and o2 sensors not ready yet. Well i got tired of waiting and took it to get inspected. passed anyway with the inspection place showing the same.

Or you could go to a tuner and they charge you like 50 bucks to tune out the un-needed o2 sensors so they dont even exist. Took mine to get inspected at a legitimate spot and it passed A OK!!!
