Default What is a "C drive screw blower"?

I was reading the Outlaw 10.5 rule book and I noticed you are prohibited from running a C drive screw blower. But what in the hell is a C drive screw blower?

My best guess would have to be cog drive twin screw blower. Then again i had the f4r procharger crank driven blower on my mind also.

Cog is a pulley with perpendicular teeth, basically like a gear. The belt is teethed to fit the cog. Basically it removes slipping.

I would think that outlaw cars would be allowed to use a cog system. I was thinking that a c drive was a type of screw inside the blower. Who runs outlaw???

trains that have to go up and down steep hills use cogs, basically the same thing as the blower pulley, the wheels have nubs that fit into the track so they can make it up and down

Default C rotor

This a C rotor... Also called a Gizmo ... 440" hemis in dragboats have said they have made 90psi with them The C design is the type of rotors in the blower.. The D and C rotors are the most popular.. but up until the adrl and outlaw pro mod.. Screw blowers were banned from all classes and most tracks in texas
