Default BFG g-force sport or Firehawk wideoval

My car never sees the track, but it does see a lot of 30+roll races. I have some 80 dollar kumhos that will just spin all the way second and some of third. The car ismaking about 360rwhp. I do not want DR

if you want a bad *** street tire, get the bfg kdw, the bfg g-force sport is right under that one... what size tire are you running? bfg>firestone all day long!

I ran a few different tires on my Camaro:

Stock - Crap
Kumho - Not bad, but wore fast
BFG KDW - Liked these so much, I bought two sets. One for the stock 16" and again a few years later when I was running 17x9.5" Fikses
Goodyear GSD3 - 275/40/17 & 315/35/17 Loved these tires. They handle great in all weather. Only reason I didn't get another set was the price.
Nitto Invo - Ran these on my DPE wheels. VERY impressed. Good all around performance and MUCH quieter than the BFGs. The sidewalls are a little soft, so I wouldn't try autocrossing with them, but for a cruiser, they're a great tire.

FTR, I'm getting a set of Invos installed on my Vette tomorrow. They're pretty much my new favorite tire.

yeah my boss said that the invos are pretty bad ***... he went on a ride and drive and he said even in the water you can take a corner pretty hard in them... if they made the nittos invo's in the 275 40 17 and 315 35 17 i would buy em for sure... then again if bfg made a decently priced tire in 315 i would buy those too, but the KD's are outragously expensive!!!! so sumi's work just fine for now!

I run Wide Ovals on my C5 Z06. I've managed a few 1.7x and multiple 1.8s at HRP with them. I've got about 25k on them and they have at least 10-20k left in them. Traction isn't as good as it used to be compared to when they were brand new, but I'm happy with the tread life so far.

FYI my wife ovals are NOT run flat.

I'd take the wideovals over the G Force Sports all day long. IMO, unless you're getting the KDW, don't even bother with BFG. They suck ***. Every set I've had were terrible in the wet and didn't get dry traction for ****.

Ive got the g-forces now, 275's, im full bolt-ons built 4l60e with 3400 circle d stall. i think im going to get some 285 kdw's next, partially because im going to a turbo and partially because the gforces cant handle my ****. from a 10 to 15 roll at idle if i smash it theyll spin rought 3/4 of first, and thats after driving on them for about 10 min.

for the money theyre good tires, and are wearing great for me. they stick well once hot, are very predictable, and relativley quiet. would go for the KDW's before spending all that money on DR's

I had some wide ovals on my Firehawk and for street tires they hooked pretty well I would say. But then again it wasn't a race car and it was just a bolton car. They look almost identical to the nitto street tires.
