lot of ppl take the iron blocks from the 4.8/5.3s and bore them to an ls1 bore. 5.3 and ls1s have the same stroke. so with the same stroke, and then bored to 3.898, u have an iron ls1.....now i have one, to use as a boat anchor!!!!!

whoa........ first of all nothing was worng with the motor first of all and i just said everything that was told to me when i bought the car from 1qwk408 that posts on here and it was fine and really strong before i posted it on here i have quiet a few friends that have been in the car and around the block in it and the only reason i sold it was to put the 408 in it.....and if sumone thinks that having a chl or a gun is going to scare me ur wrong cause honestly that has nothing to do with the situation.....now 1qwk408 has all the paper work to the machinist that has done all the work to the motor which i told u when u picked the motor up and if u have any problems with the craftsmanship of the motor or build quality u can contact him or i will no problem and if there is so such problem like which u said than we can come to a reasonable agreement but if u wish to try and bash me and have ls1tech as ur followers then well i guess that things cant be much diffrent.....sorry i havent answered ur calls but i have been asleep cause i have work in the morning but the motor was fine and ran fine and had no knock or spun bearing sound of any kind when i pulled it and that is repeated again and again now once again cause i know things get twisted here on this board alot u should call me tomarrow and we can get things settled

Yeah, I think this issue could have been resolved alot easier. You know where he lives, so I highly doubt he's trying to run off with your money. Call him in the morning, and try to get things settled up.

I kind of refuse to believe there was no oil pressure inconsistency with that and no noise from the engine, unless you were running open exhaust.

OK, put yourself in my position, i tried calling u 45 mins after i picked it up, got home, and found that the bearing was spun. u had 5 or 6 buddies there drinking, so within that 45 they all left and u went to bed??? ok, fine, I APOLOGIZE for bashing u on here, BUT u need to understand my take on the situation, if i sold u a motor that had a spun bearing, and then wouldnt answer ur calls, u would be just as pissed. Now, i apologized to on here so everyone can see, i just want my money back Brian. whether or no u knew it was fucked up, thats the only way to make it right, and im sure everyone on here agrees with me. Please call me asap.

i just found out that one of my guys that works for me, knows him. he is on h-town racing alot, and we know alot of the same ppl. so hopefully with him knowing we have the same friends, he will give me my money back. i want to get this resolved TODAY.

I have known Brian for a few years and he is hard to get a hold of some times. I have never done business with him and I cant say we are good friends or anything either. Having said that however looking at the situation it doesnt seem he would try and rip you off being as you went to his house. Granted that just means you know where he lives but still had it been intentional I would think he would have met you some where rather then having you come to his house.

With everyone that knows each other around these boards and in person I couldnt see him not making it right, that would be a really bad choice IMO.
