Exclamation Rear Mount GT-4788 Z06!!

Hey guys, just finishing up the turbo kit on this zo6. Once the parts get back from coating it will not be long before he is out palying with you guys. Hope you like it Mike. Should have some dyno vids in a week or so.

Hoooly crap thats an insane setup.

But why rear mount? Whats the bonuses? Whys it better?

I was thinking the same thing...
running the intake from the turbo right next to the exhaust like that, you better have an intercooler...

why not a front mount without the heat and less weight?

has anyone ever thought about making the intercooler setup kind of like the condensor of the A/C system through separate passages and cooling the entire system with the A/C running allowing more power through colder denser air???

i think ford did this with a lightning.

Why get so complex thinking about the A/C thing/? A2W intercooler is the same thing

Theres quite a large volume of air with a charge pipe almost 10 feet long. That volume of air along with being pressurized cant be moved by just one bov fast enough. Say you have 3000 cfm of pressurized air in the charge pipe but the bov can only move 1000cfm under 10 psi. You would need 3 bovs to move the excess air when the throttle closes.

i doubt u can fit something much bigger than a gt-35 with a conventional kit
