Default Where do ya'll weigh your cars around Houston?

Do ya'll do it at the recycling center? The track? Special places? I am curious, as I am not quite ready for the track yet (injectors @ 100+% duty cycle, ordered DSL, stronger driveshaft, bigs and littles) and I have never raced at a track before.

Haha, yea I do not plan on driving to Baytown to get a weight. I will use the best guess with pieces of paper, a ruler, and a tire gauge, lol.

Whats the deal with the salvage yard? How does that work? Sorry, I have a hard time deciphering sarcasm on the internet, if that is the case, lol

Go to any landscaping business if you don't want to go to the track.

they weigh the trucks going out and then back in, that way they know how much dirt/mulch/seed etc is in the truck, and to bill the customer. Grain elevators too, although im not sure if any around town are still in operation

I might have to check that place on Tanner. I did find a place called A1 scales right near my house that serves trucking and public passenger vehicles. I want to say they charge like $6 and I have no idea how other trucking ones work. Have you ever been to the one off of Tanner?

I wouldn't mind paying $6 knowing their **** is accurate and knowing that I am in the right place, you know what I mean?

so, I'm not from houston, but in Arkansas, I found a CAT scale at a gas station (they have a huge thing out back for Trucks, so I guess it's more like a small truck stop). Look for Pilots gas stations, they should have them, if there's any by you.

fucter i remember that place, i used to live in NLR lol.

1SLwLS1, ive never been there but most places keep that **** pretty accurate, its their own money theyre loosing if its not, and most places like that wont charge you anything to roll accross em and get a number, especially if theyre not busy. I may go up there today just to see, ive been wondering how much mine weighs too.

Sweet, Im gonna go check that place out. Any personnel on site or is it self service? I will have to go by there on lunch next week. I am going to go to the other place I found, A-1, just to get a comparison and see how accurate these things are.

CAT scales calibrate their scales more often than others. They are guaranteed and accurate.
