Default best way to get out of a cell phone contract

So, for the last 8 months i have been with verizon wireless. I have the blackberry storm 1 and my wife has a nokia twist. Since october i have had 4 blackberry storms, and tomorrow i will be getting my first blackberry storm 2. Along with having a terrible experience with the phones, the service has been shitty! I have had hundreds of dropped calls and calls the when i answer i hear nothing but myself. So needles to say i am sick and tired of it. Do any of you guys have experience with getting out of cell phone contracts with shitty service?? any help would be much appreciated!

Call them and complain. Mention that you are not going to keep paying for a cell phone contract that doesn't give good service. I did that with sprint because I moved and had 1-2 bars max. They let me out with out paying any money.

I work for T-mobile and I have learned many tricks of the trade. Easiest thing to do is call an complain. Our call centers are meant to keep you happy. They are trained to NOT get off the phone with you. So you stay on the phone for 3 hours if needed be so you get what you want. If that doesn't work, do you know anyone who lives in another country? If so, you can provide Verizon with a "bill" that has your name on it that sort of proves that you live there. Since they cannot provide service to you, then they will break the contract.

BTW, T-Mobile has a very strong signal in Corsicana, Texas.

We also have a buy 1 smart phone get the other free, and with the launch of our HSPA+, we will have the fastest network in all of the nation. It makes cities a giant WiFi like clear except ours will be faster and available to almost all major cities at the end of the year. This also isn't an additional feature and comes with your internet. Its said to download up to 21+ MBPS!!!!!!! Im just a little excited thats all! Plus we are cheaper. LOL! Its a Win, Win, Win, Win situation in your case.

Hey I own a verizon store in Temple.. Dial 611 from your phone and complain the the tech support.. If you complain they will send a service guy out to your area to work on the towers. I just helped one of my customers do the same around here.

Just kidding. Complain to the customer care reps and tell then to look into the notes attached and they will see that you have called before. Since they are the ones that cannot provide support they should let you out of contract since they are the ones who cannot provide the service to you. Try getting a nice care rep. If they don't sound nice hang up and call again. Best of luck.

LOL that sounds like a good way to end up in a federal PMITA prison. seems like altering a federal document would be considered a federal crime.

So take a hit on your credit record? Why not just pay the early termination fee and be done with it?
