I love my car.. Went to San Antonio yesterday with a full tank of gas and had well over a half a tank left. Filled back it up and it was 6.8 Gallons! So right at 200 miles that's almost 30mpg!! That's also with one 130mph run and cruising at about 85 to 90mph(tagged along with a Porsche lol)..
Can't wait to get a cam and some headers!

I know lol that's the only thing that's stopping me. I am gonna use the profit from my 65 Mustang to fix up this car though. Gonna get wheels, tires, window motors, torque arm and maybe a few other things. The inspection goes out in July so I am kinda scared about that, need to put the exhaust back on.

i get on it every now and then... just try to keep as much rubber on my tires as possible till i find a new job. lol i have a 6 speed too, i rarely go over 2k even when accelerating. i still dont get it.

on a 125 miles or so trip with an 80MPH average, thats with a like 4 or 5 small towns and and a few straight aways of 100MPH
. That same trip with a 70 MPH avg i got like 27MPG
. I love my 6 speed as well.

yeah i never have calculated my mpg but with city driving im sure im getting around 12 or so. a 4k circled 2e (very loose) and a cam will kill mpg for sure. but i didnt buy this car for mpg i bought it for the fun haha.

I got like 28mpg once from Texarkana to Dallas in my '02 Z M6, but I was drafting about 10' off the back of an 18 wheeler doing 65 the whole way. Other than that the best any of my cars have gotten was 18ish.
