Lot of places in Lockhart that are unreal.

Saltlick is also damn tasty.

i tried saltlick it is pretty good. i hear that lockheart is like a religious experience when u eat they're bbq.lol

does joe cottons still have that all u can eat brisket and sausage? i had that when i went there bk when i was in High school.

i dont know....i eat for free lol i get them their onions from the valley the owner n my dad r good friends so we usually eat for free but usually ill take a date there n get the hook up

Its been that way since my parents were kids. Will never change. Grew up with the owners kids.

For me I say Salt Lick and Driftwood, or Blacks in Lockheart.

I've heard stories about Salt Lick, I'd love to go there. Here in DFW it's Cousins off Keller Pkwy and Up n' Smoke but only for their short ribs. Haven't had anything better than that so far here in FW at least.

A really good place is Hill Country BBQ in Hempstead. The best I've ever had. The old man, and I mean old man doesn't let anything off of his wood pit unless it's been on there 24 hrs. Damn, I want some now.....

my friends pops owns coopers and thats some great bbq, Best in texas tho i gotta go with blacks in Lockhart

Goode Company in Houston, Saltlick is very good, and Ronnies BBQ in Johnson City in the Hill Country.
